Community Impact
2025-26 Impact Report
Berkshire Agricultural Ventures is pleased to share our latest Impact Report, covering the period of April 2025 through March 2026. This report highlights our work with farmers, processors, and key partners to strengthen the local food system in Berkshire, Columbia, Dutchess, and Litchfield counties.
During the 2025-26 impact period, BAV leaned into our core services and grew our scope and impact through several new initiatives. We began developing our brand-new farmer education program, the Farm Business Accelerator. Set to launch in November 2026, this program will help a cohort of farmers in our four-county service area grow more sustainable farms and futures.
Additionally, we began actively scaling up our farm-to-institution work. BAV and a coalition of partners are creating a blueprint for stronger relationships between farms and local institutions such as schools, colleges, hospitals, and correctional facilities. We are excited to help drive more sales for farmers, more local food on cafeteria trays, and more dollars circulating within our local economy.
We couldn’t do any of this work without our farmers, donors, partners, staff, and Board. Thank you to our community of friends and supporters! We are grateful for the abundance of farms, food, and community connections that define and enliven our shared region.
